Oakwood – Garden Thermometer

It was lovely to create this piece, which makes a change from papercrafts and is also something for the garden which is also a passion of mine.

I put white Gesso onto the wood first – this enables any subsequent colours to not sink into the wood and it retains its true colour.

I painted the green and blue over several layers and added the white and pink lightly.

I then stamped and heat embossed the garden images and painted.

A lovely gift to give to someone who loves their garden!
