Christmas – Clay Baubles
Stamperia do a wonderful selection of moulds, and you can easily use air dry clay to create wonderful embellishments as stand-along creations or ones to add to complete any project.
I used quite old clay for these baubles, it was a bit drier than fresher clay would be, so they didn’t end up perfect but I quite like that. I then used a selection of Shimmer Shakers to colour them in. I needed a couple of coats to give a deeper colour. Add the twine and ribbon and charms and beads and they make wonderful decorations for the Christmas tree.
Keep them in a dry place – I wouldn’t personally put them in the loft along with the other Christmas decorations, as the changes in temperature wouldn’t do them any favours. So keep them somewhere dry and in a normal temperature.
