Helen Colebrook – 2023 Planner

Released on the 29th November is a wonderful journaling collection by Helen Colebrook for Creative Expressions!

I love making books and so this was the perfect opportunity to create a 2023 Planner.

I made 12 signatures – one for each month of the year – and created a patterned cover for each with the paper from the coordinating Paper Pad.

I made 12 tabs with small circles, for the 12 months of the year and attached them to each signature.

I stitched most of the attachments and left the end threads in place. I like a slightly messy look rather than neat and tidy.

The front cover has a board base which I covered with book paper and random stencilling and colouring.

I die-cut the wreath three times to make it more bulky on the centre of the cover.

The plaque is MDF and the 2023 is chipboard inked and heat embossed.

Good old brads, of which I have plenty, secured the plaque to the cover.
