Paisley Park – Hey Bud Embroidery Hoop

I love embroidery but it takes me a while, I must admit. But it is something different to papercraft and makes another use of stamps!

This design is part of my own collection – Paisley Park and from the Hey Bud set. I randomly stamped the flowers and the dots cluster and began stitching. I used a straight satin stitch for the flowers and French knots for the dots clusters. I love adding beads so used them for the centres of the flowers.

Once I had finished I thought I would try using some Pixie Powder to slightly colour the background and I am quite pleased with how it turned out. It was hit and miss as to how it would work out but the wet powders actually coloured well onto the fabric.

Finished off with the ribbon and chain and I love it!
