Hello, Iโm Caroline – and Iโm quietly returning to my little corner of the internet.
For a long time, this blog has been sitting quietly in the background, patiently waiting while life, projects, and a thousand creative experiments pulled me in different directions. Iโve missed having a place to wander through my thoughts – somewhere slower, more thoughtful, and more me – so Iโm gently opening the door again and inviting you back in.
If youโre new here, welcome. And if youโve been around for a while, thank you for sticking with me.
Iโm a lifelong maker who feels most at home with messy hands, a table full of scraps, and a project (or five) on the go. I love handmade junk journals and art journals – the ones full of stitched edges, textured layers, found papers, messy paint, and tiny details that only reveal themselves when you slow down and really look. Mixed media is my playground, digital art a passion, sewing is one of my favourite ways to bring paper and fabric together, and Iโm happiest when Iโm exploring a new craft just to see where it leads.
But my world isnโt only made of glue and ink. Iโm a book lover who can lose hours in a story; a gardener who gets unreasonably excited about seedlings and first shoots; a baker who finds comfort in the rhythm of stirring, kneading, and waiting. Iโm endlessly fascinated by the history of fashion – the craftsmanship, the silhouettes, the way clothing quietly tells the story of people and their lives.
And all of these things, woven together, shape the way I create and the way I think.
This blog is becoming a home for those musings: the inspirations that tug at my sleeve, the creative wanderings, the experiments that go right (and wonderfully wrong), the books Iโm reading, the ideas growing in my garden, the scraps of history Iโve been following. Itโs a slower, more personal space – a place where I can share the things I love in a way that feels thoughtful and unhurried.
Meanwhile, my social media will stay mostly focused on showcasing my art and crafts – the process videos, finished pieces, experiments, and handmade moments that bring me joy. If you enjoy the visual, fast-moving side of what I make, youโll find plenty there. But hereโฆ this is where Iโll stretch out a little more, write a little deeper, and let the quieter parts of my creative life have room to breathe.
Thank you so much for being here. Whether youโre reading this with a cup of tea, a journal nearby, or a project waiting for you on the table, Iโm really glad youโre sharing this space with me. Hereโs to new chapters, fresh inspiration, and making time for the things that light us up.
