Prompt 7 of Junk Journal July – the first week already done! Framed is a nice one and I took this literally.
This prompt happened to fall on a page which already had a pocket and a smaller book page. So I used the smaller book page to create frames both sides. On the one side I used a greyboard flower to put inside a white frame, which I had stamped. One the other side I used a board frame for a wooden butterfly.
On the main large tag I stencilled and coloured, before adding flower transfers and a large fabric flower.
The quote on the back of the tag is a little push for me, to inspire me to carry on. Not just to push on through this journal, but in general.
To finish off this prompt I created the final page using lovely Cosmic Shimmer Pixie Burst powder. This gave the lovely shades of green. One little frame and a simple flower finished it off, together with another quote.
‘To plant a garden, is to believe in tomorrow.’
This is very true for where we are living at this time. We bought a house with a huge garden which is all uphill. The first part of the garden has been lovingly created by previous owners. The second half of the garden is laid to lawn but very stark in comparison to the first part of garden and all the lovely borders, etc.
So we are gradually planting the areas which need it. We buy a tree and envisage it tall and strong, but in reality this will be several years away. However, this doesn’t stop us planting and planning. For now, and for the future.
