Oakwood – Hopeful Everyday

Who can resist pretty butterflies and flowers?! These lovely stamps and dies and stencil are available from Oakwood Direct.

These dies are fabulous and can be used on so many projects!

Firstly I created the background. I used the Butterfly stencil on a Gelli plate with white paint and then whilst it was still wet I added some silver embossing powder in places to create a different highlight. By the time I had finished the background not much of this could be seen but it quided me to where to place the flowers and the butterflies.

Added colour with some washi tape and the Distress Crayons and I also used some of the stamps from the grunge texture set. I ran it through an embossing folder, which at first was too pronounced so I ran it through the Big Shot again on its own and flattened it a little.

I made holes for the centre of the flowers and attached then with brads – something I have loads of and forget to use!.

I double cut the butterflies to give them extra depth. Finished off by layering the tag and then adding ribbon and a button.
